Stairs Races For 2 Players screenshot taken during our test
Our own screenshot from the test session.
Game type
Split-screen racing / stair-building race for two players
Goal
Collect blocks of your own colour and race your rival up the course; each player gets half of the screen.
Controls we used
Keyboard: Player 1 moves with W/A/S/D and Player 2 with the arrow keys (holding W and Up moved both runners forward for us). On-screen joysticks are also shown for touch screens.
On a phone (390px test)
Not in portrait – on a 390px portrait screen the 3D scene stayed small with the Play button tiny. It really needs a wide screen and two people.
Load time
About 1.6 seconds to the menu.
Difficulty
Easy controls; the challenge comes from racing a real person and dodging a rotating green bar in the middle of the course.
In-game ads
Yes – the GameMonetize video-ad system (Google IMA) loads with the game.
How a session plays
Play → Levels (8 levels, only level 1 open at first) → split screen with "Player 1" in blue on the left and "Player 2" in red on the right. Both runners moved forward at once from the same keyboard. A level is a short race.

Our verdict: One of the few genuine same-keyboard 2-player games we tested – best on a laptop with a friend beside you.

How we test: we open the game in a desktop browser and in a 390px-wide phone view, time how long it takes to load, play through the opening level or round and note exactly what we saw. We only write down things we observed. More about our testing.

Staris Races For Two Players is a fast-paced 1v1 hyper-casual game where two players race against each other to be the first to reach the top of their staircase.* Each player controls a colored stickman character (Blue for Player 1, Red for Player 2). The goal is simple: collect blocks of your own color scattered around the level, carry them to your staircase, and use them to build or paint the steps. The more blocks you collect, the higher you can climb. The first player to complete their staircase and reach the finish platform wins the match. But be careful — speed and strategy matter. Grab blocks efficiently, avoid mistakes, and race to

How to play (developer instructions): Player one blue moves with WASD keys or the touch screen joystick on the left Player two red moves with arrow keys or the touch screen joystick on the right
